Parents and teachers conference (PTC) is a short meeting or conference between the parents and teachers of the students to discuss a child’s progress at school and acquaint them of their academic or behavioral performance. The meetings are generally led by teachers who plays a more active role in information sharing, with parents relegated mostly to the role of listeners. It focuses on learning, child’s behavioral and social development, feedback about their child’s progress and areas of need. Overall parents and teachers have common goal. They both want children to succeed and progress at a rate where they can take control of their own learning. While students learn in the classroom, the same learning is reinforced at home with the parent. The teachers just like parents want the child to succeed. Parent’s teacher’s conference provides a better perspective on what the teacher says about the child.
